Question about Space Mountain

My husband said when he was a kid there were examples of a "kitchen of tomarrow" and diferent parts of a "house of the future". He thought this was at the end of Space Mountain, when you are on the moving sidwalk as you leave. Anybody remember this?

I'm not sure about that, but I know there is a "house of tomorrow" in Innoventions at EPCOT that you can walk through.

I recall those things being in Spaceship Earth but I can't recall them from Space Mountain. That doesn't necessarily mean they weren't I just don't recall them from the last 10 to 15 years.

Actually, there used to be an exhibit as you exited Space Mountain. While you stood on the moving conveyor belt, you looked toward your right at the RYCA-1 view of tomorrow...it had several futuristic scenes complete with some audio-animatronics. Yep, I remember it quite well.

Trying to make my almost 35 yo brain to work but I do remember that or something similar.

The only reason why I remember it is because when I went on SM one time & got off & rode the escalator & looked at the stuff I said to myself & my father or cousins that this was different.

So I swear it was there but I may be crazy too.

I remember it as well, and since I am turning 35 tomorrow, I guess we were both probably kids--figure early 80s? IIRC, the movement of the figures was very limited, if they moved at all.

There is a kitchen of tomorrow at the end (last room), of the Carousel of Progress attraction. It is located very near Space Mountain, so perhaps he morphed the memory of the two attractions together.

Just a thought.
