Question about Sleeping Beauty dress

My DD wants Santa to bring her one of these for Christmas. I liked the one we saw at Disney but was worried it would be too warm for her to wear in May because of the sleeves. Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

I don't know if we have the same dress, our is from the Disney store and was a gift from the sweetest lady on DIS, MISSYDVC. It is the gold Sleeping Beauty dress.
The sleeves on ours are very sheer and would not be warm at all. If this is the same as the one in Disney (I didn't even look since we had costumes) it would be fine, it is almost like sleeveless.

My DD5 wore hers (the one with actual sleeves, not the sheer ones) to MNSSHP this year in early September. The temps were HOT, but she was fine. I think she was just so happy to be wearing it!

My DD wore hers in march at MK and she didnt have a problem.....She acutally loved it....good luck

Both my girls have gotten thsi dress, dd 6y/o got it her first trip to BBB she was 5 and it was in march but still was in the upper 80s that day she did fine, and was also in the delux dress (non sheer sleeves) it has the velvity sleeves on it. My younger dd got the one with sheer sleeves last march and also did fine in it the whole day. If she wants to ware it you may as well get it and take a change of clothes for that day just incase!

There is a "new" one out since July, and this is the one my DD has. She wore it in Hot Humid September without a problem. (She would've worn it everyday if we would have let her).

My DD has the one from this Halloween - with pink satin sleeves. We are also going in May and I had the same concern about her being too hot. I'm thinking about cutting the sleeves and making it short sleeved instead. I'm going to ask DD before I do it because it would be just my luck that she would say it didn't look like Sleeping Beauty anymore and then wouldn't want to wear it!

Thanks. I've ordered the dress and hopefully it will get here before Christmas. Of course if she keeps this up we'll have one for everday of our trip.
