Going to Disney in a week meeting friends who have an 7yr.old son. I have two teenagers and a 7yr. old daughter. We have made reservations for the 2 7yr. olds to go to Simba's clubhouse one evening while the older crowd dines at Boma. This will be the first time we use any of the child programs.
Anyone who has been there-what kind of activities do they have to keep the kids busy there? Do we tip when we pick them up? If so, what is customary? Thanks in advance for any info!
 8 more days!!!!Yippeee

I'm not sure about Simba's but we booked Neverland club for our trip in Dec. We had 5 boys between the 2 familys, ages 9,5,5,4, and 4. The kids loved it and afterwards all we heard was can we go back. They had video games, craft projects, coloring, dress up, etc. They ate pizza for dinner and had dessert. DS5 is allergic to fruit juice and they were really good about making sure he had a wrist band with his allergy on it. Overall it was a good experience, and we would do it again.

We didn't tip them, there was someone at the front desk but there was someone else inside watching the kids. The front desk handled all of the money.

Have fun on your trip, hope I helped. :teeth:

we took our 2 boys ages 5 & 7 last june They had a good time dinner was included and they had a choice of like 6 things. They have an activiites area (crafts coloring, games) and video area, eating area, but the main draw for my boys was the large arcade games... Not sure how structered it was but they had a great time and were kept busy.. we did not tip (no reason for not tipping it just never occured to us)but our boys were only there for 3 hours I do belive they have a schedule posted on the door now that i remember correctly...
my son also has a food allergy to peanuts and they were great about it..

Thanks!! :earsboy:

rutti-is there a viewing area of the animals here? If there is that might just be DD highlight of the evening :goodvibes

you have to walk by the pool to get there not really any animal viewing however we made sure to check them out by 9 so they could do the NIGHT VISION googles thay was the highlight for our boys.... it was not an activity teh clubhouse was doing so we had to take them ourselves...

there are windows in Simba's that look out to the Uzima savanna - so they may catch a glimpse of a giraffe, etc. ::yes::

about seeing the animals, and it is getting dark pretty early, would they be able to see anything out the windows? I didnt even realize that it was possible when my kids went. They didnt tell me anything about looking out the windows.

our kids did both Neverland (once) and Simba's (twice) and when we asked which they liked best they said Simbas. I think that had a little to do with that they were there with with the kids of friends one time as well but they really enjoyed it both times. They had a schedule of things that they did including crafts and games. They came home with some art work and my 4 year old is INCREDIBLY proud of the paddle ball that he won at bingo their first night.
