We've stayed at Silver Lake twice -- back in '02 and '03. We're going again in August and have a 2-bedroom unit in the 1700's. I'm told that's the 5-story building near the main pool. It's been so long that I don't remember the numbers of the buildings we stayed in prior, but they definitely were not in that section.
Has anyone stayed in that building? I think that's the area where you can see the fireworks at MK. I'm curious about room size. I'm expecting a king bed in master bedroom, but not sure if we're getting two queens or two singles in the second bedroom.
Any opinions welcome.
Thanks!!

the 1700 & 1800 are right next to the pool the real tall buildings. they have an elevator & were refurbished last year.
the beds are determined by what you ask for , sleep 6 or 8 . the sleep 6 will have 2 king beds & the fold out couch. call & ask the front desk what kinds of rooms they have.

their website has a map of the resort & the buildings are numbered on it.

we stayed in 2 different 6 person rooms, one was definatley bigger than the other, one had a bigger kitchen & larger bathroom.

That's a big help Muffyn, thanks. I called -- we have the one with two kings. My daughters are a little disappointed, but hey -- everything else sounds great. I requested top floor, for fireworks viewing and heard that all the rooms in this building (as you said) were re-done. They sound really nice!
What did you think of the cabana? We enjoyed it our first two trips although I guess if they served something just a litttttttle more extensive dinner wise, we'd be happier.
But we enjoyed it, the pool and the whole atmosphere.

can't comment on the cabana.
we basically went from room to parks & back again. our grandson did swim in the pool one night , but we just watched by sidelines,
sooooooooooo you can fill me in on the Cabana!!

we are heading there again in december ( we got 2 free nights because our shower was 'backed up'.. guess they still had problems during that remodel,, our room was so new that it still had the plastic on the furniture)
