Question about signing up for Jedi Training

Our son really wants to do this. However, the day we're looking at spending in HS, there is EMH that morning. So, would there be any chance of us getting an evening slot by 9:00 RD, or will they all be gone?

To my knowledge, most people are trying to get the earlier slots for the academy. If you go straight to sign up when you enter the park, you should have a chance for a later slot.

It might depend on the crowd levels. It will be more difficult than if you arrive at the parks with everyone else on a non-emh day.

I've read a lot of reports lately where people still had no trouble getting a time signing up as late as 11am. Those time slots won't likely be morning shows but they are still there. I was just there 2 weeks ago on a Saturday morning with EMH. Our plan was to be there during EMH but we didn't make it until a little after 9am. I got to the Sound Studio and there was no line at all. The next available show was 3:25 but we opted to go after dinner and picked the 7:10 show. They had lots of availability mid afternoon through the evening.

If you cant swap days to do HS then arrive as soon as you can and go straight there. We did EMH JTA last June and by 845 all slots for the day were gone (we were in line and got ours, but they were turning people away @ 845 as there were enough in line to fill), so it just depends. If this is a high priority i would consider picking a non EMH day to be sure you get a chance.

I'm guessing you are staying offsite? I have typically found HS morning EMH days to be nuts, I avoid them. If you can't get to the parks until 9am, you definitely would want to avoid a park that opens at 8am, unless that's the only option with your schedule. Crazy Disney fanatics who don't sleep and/or are jacked up on caffeine will have been in the park for the EMH hour, and there will be very long lines for rides like TSMM.
