Question about shutters at Vero

We haven't been to Vero in a few years. The last time we went we were incredibly disappointed in our meal at Shutters. Never before have we not liked a meal there. It wasn't just disappointment - it was downright gross. There wasn't even much on the menu that appealed to us

We are going again this June after 10 nights at WDW.

I am really hoping it is just a fluke and things have improved.

So has anyone been lately? How was it?

I just ate there tonight! I thought the menu looked pretty appetizing. I actually ordered one of the more "boring" items - the citrus infused shrimp scampi and liked it. Very different from normal scampi and without a ton of butter which is something I really hate in a scampi.

They had several flatbread's on the menu that I believe are new since I was here in May 2009.

I also ate breakfast (served in Sonya's since it's Saturday Character breakfast in Shutter's but it was Shutter's menu). Had an Orange Oatmeal french toast. Again - very different but tasty and is apparently new to the menu. It would have been served with eggs, bacon and sausage but I had fruit substituted for the eggs.

Overall I was pleased with the menu's and food.
