question about shore exc. with baby

Has anyone travelled with a baby onshore and if so, what did you do about a car seat on the islands? If you take a shore excursion with a bus do they have seatbelts so you can install one?

Not sure about eastern itinerary ports yet, haven't been to any of them, but for the western itin ports we've been to, our DD was a lap-child. Most of the time the trips are short so it's not a big deal. And Cozumel, well is Cozumel. I've seen moms holding kids in their laps riding the back of a moped (no lie, swear on the grave of one of those folks outside HM).
If you're concerned and would feel better about having a carseat, check with DCL before hand.
