question about shooting in public

Or these people at a bear jam on top of the pass, a black bear with cubs, they were standing in the road and a ranger was yelling "Have some self-preservation people!"

Thanks! I saw one guy get out of his car, walk up a geothermal crust, peer into the thermal pool and then walk down back to his car. :scared1: I didn't take pictures but I thought for sure he was a goner, 4 Yellowstone staffers had died a few months before walking on crust they thought was stable.

Great picture of the Bison on the road and yep they are big...this may sound like a Paul Bunyan story, but come up to Northern Algonquin Park in Ontario and try to avoid moose...especially in the late summer when the deer flies are making them ugly..they charge at cars - have not got any photos ...most photographers don't make it back alive:laughing: ....under those circumstances I could care less if city folk get between me and the animal

Yeah, moose are mean, I'd rather meet a bear on a trail than a moose, at least the bear will probably run away.

i have seen this type of behavior in the smokies as well. i figure it must be some kind of mob mentality that overcomes their normal sanity. once a lady was using our car as a "shield" between her and a bear a few feet away...she would have been welcome to climb on the roof but i don't think i would have opened the door for her to get in if the bear decided to have her for breakfast:rotfl:

Ok a couple more:

Tourists watching fighting bison (you can see the bison in the distance but they were also right down that hillside. They parked by us and then carried their baby over there. They did turn on their car alarm though so I'm sure they thought they were safe.

One day I was driving down near gainesville fl and saw a family get out to pose with a alligator that was sunning on the road side.
I almost stopped but hey they will learn :scared1:

The worst one dad used to tell was the fellow who saw the pine trees where they used to collect the sap for turpentine and thought it was like maple syrup and poured a trough of pine sap in his mouth.
