As many of you know, I will be living in Florida by time this rolls around.
I am deciding whether or not to attend. I would be going with my son, because Dh would be working. I will have my ECV as well.

So my questions.....
How difficult will it be for me to get around with my ECV at these type of events (I remember reading about the event at Wide World of Sports about how they had to go stand in line on stairs....well that is not happening for me!)

The other question is about sponsors. I wouldn't need both son and I to get the free gifts etc, so I would think about having one of our admissions a sponsor admission. So then I want to ask, would I just register both son and I and then find a sponsor?
I sponsored someone for the ToonTown event. I registered using his name but my address and then he sent me the goodies. This way I rec'd the RSP to fill out and the records already showed his name for his entrance and to pick up the goodies.

Thanks for any advice you pros can offer!

Hi, Lynnie!

According to the hype, there will be no lines. It looks like they're going out of their way to ensure that.

Even so, the World Showplace at Epcot has no stairs. So if some kind of line forms, that won't be a worry for you.

With lots of pintrading tables and people, you will have to weave your ECV about a bit, but it is very do-able. I attended the 2001 event with a friend using an ECV and she managed pretty well. I know she occasionally had to raise her voice a bit, and say "excuse me," but people did get out of her way. And people moved their chairs and bags, if needed.

As to sponsorship....the way it usually works is you register your son (or family member) in his own name, and pay for his membership. The sponsor reimburses you for the membership, fills out the RSP, and pays you for the pins before WDW charges your card. We should have about a 10-day gap from the time when we receive the RSP award notifications until the charges actually go through -- enough time for the sponsor to get the funds to you.

Hope this helps. :D
