My stepfather has two unused no expiration park hopper tickets that he bought 10 years ago. He is never going to use them (long story). Is it legal to sell them? If it is OK, does anyone know a reliable place to do this. Thanks.

Yes. Unused tickets are transferable.

Your best bet would be to sell to someone you know.

Agreed. If they have never been used at all then it is legal to sell them.

I also agree that your best bet would be to sell them to someone that you know.

were they tied to other tickets??
I'm getting 8 tickets so let's say I used 6 of them the other 2 can't be transfered to someone else
but if it is 2 tickets that were not part of the group then they can be
at least this is how I understand things

The OP did say unused so they can be resold, but as for where to sell them, it should be to someone he knows because everyone else is telling the buyers to only buy tickets if you really know the person.

So since there is a lot of ticket scams out there on places like Craig's list*, you may have trouble selling them since the buyers can't be sure they are legit.

* Yes I know some people have bought tickets with no issue on Craig's list, consider yourself lucky.

Not sure what you are saying but a completely unused ticket can be resold. it doesn't matter if it part of a group of tickets bought together.

The only way your statement makes sense is if you think that when you buy an 8 day ticket you get 8 individual tickets which is not the case. You get one physical ticket that can be used for 8 days of park admission.

They aren't tied to any other tickets. The problem is I don't know anyone that wants to buy them.

Since the tickets will never expire, you (or he) can continue to hold them until you DO know someone who is heading down, or you can use them yourself.

He can try selling them on Craigslist or eBay, but he may have trouble getting anyone to buy, since there are many scams out there. It is less risky to him than to the buyer, as long as the tickets don't leave one hand until the money is in the other (and the check has cleared the bank!).
