When you are in a line to go through the security check at Orlando airport will we go through as me and 2 daughters, then daughters b/f goes through on his own as a seperate family (as he doesn't have our surname)?...does this make sense?

Thats just confused the situation even more - cause daughter and b/f have just moved in together, youngest daughter lives with me.....how would they know who lives where?

you mean security as in the people who search you for bombs?
everyone can go through there in whatever grouping you want...

in our family, everyone holds their own passport and boarding pass to go through security....but there are no little children in our group...

they really are just concerned about searching you not about who you're with or not with..

if you mean immigration to get into america, then you can all go together as a group.....or the BF can go through alone - i don't think they're that much of hairsplitters about stuff like that...

yes, i mean immigration - i am in panic mode at the moment....anyone would think i had never been before!!:rotfl2:

I think you will be fine in going through as a group - as you are all in the same party :thumbsup2

Its all down to the immigration officer you get on the day. We have had no problems going thru with 2 Mums both different addresses also went thru with DS's school friend. On the other hand people have posted they got an awkward officer who split them up, only people living at 1 address to go thru together.

Just have all documents out and ready, my kids (5 & 7) don't have my last name and we manage pass security. I was asked about it once, and I just said you know how Quebec is different the officer laughted and let me along my way.

You can always meet up after the check point I have done that a number of times when travling with a bigger group.

This had been me on my last 2 visits.... Me and My family go through together and then my (then)boyfirend came through on his own just behind us.

Both times me and my family just took a step to the side so immigration knew he was travelling with us and they have asked who he is travelling with.

On the first trip he attempted to come through with the family and the immigration officer made him wait till he processed the family first and asked him to step back to behind the red line.

Also on one trip when it was just the 2 of us we had to go through seperately, the reason being different surnames residing at different addresses. All these occasions were at MCO.

Hope that helps

My DBF and I have just got home :( but when we went through we both went to the same kiosk but had to go through individually as we live at different addresses. I think it will depend on who you get.

I also couldnt remember the name of the street Pop was on so on our customs forms I just put Disneys Pop Century, WDW, Lake Buena Vista, Orlando, Florida and he got a bit annoyed with me and made me write out new ones and told me he could send me for interview so make sure you have it. I only didnt have it *** i didnt update the esta info as we stayed at POR last year.

I usually go through separately to boyfriend as we have different surnames. When we have travelled with my parents I've always went through with them and boyfriend has always gone through separately behind us. They normally ask him if he's with anyone and he just points to us to let them know.

Never tried to go through altogether, would rather save the hassle incase the Immigration Officer is awkward.

Thanks for all your replies - they have been very helpful (as always). I think we will go through separately :thumbsup2
