Hi Everyone! I am so excited that we will be going to WDW the week after Christmas. We have never been this time of year and I am really excited about seeing all the holiday decorations! I have a question about the Candlelight processional. I will have my DM with me, age 80. Last time she went with us was in the summer of 2002. I took her in a wheelchair around all the parks. I will also have my DS, age 12, with me. DS was just recently dianosed with Asperger's Syndrome. He is a picky eater. I hate to purchase one of those expensive Candlelight Processional dinner packages for him. The cheapest I've seen is $28.99 per person and he wouldn't eat that much! I would like to know if I forgo the Candlelight Processional dinner package if, the fact that DM will be in a wheelchair, would we get good seating at the show?

Hi Cindy! I'm not positive on this so don't take my word on it, hopefully someone else will come along that will know for sure. I think that you would most like be seated right behind the "reserved" section. You know how it has the covering over the front half of the theatre? There are benches right behind that section that are for wheelchair seating. I don't know if there is anywhere else for wheelchairs or not. I hope that helps but like I said, I'm not 100% sure about it, I just know that's one place where there is wheelchair seating. It has a pretty good view too, especially if you can get in towards the middle section so that you're directly in front of the stage. :)

Hi Michelle!:wave2:

Of course! Now I remember that section. I think it was "Blast" that we saw there the summer of 2002. Anyway, I think we'll do that instead of purchasing the dinner package.

Nice to hear from you!:earsgirl:

A lot will depend on which show you're trying for. The earlier shows tend to be less crowded than the late show. However, the week between Christmas and New Year's is the most crowded week of the year at WDW, so you may find that the wheelchair seating is full for some shows as well. Be sure to get there in plenty of time -- this isn't the week to show up at ten minutes to show and say, "Hi ... I need wheelchair seating ... " Talk to the CMs at the theater to get a feel for when you need to arrive, and be prepared to wait in line or in your seats for a while.

Hey,
I went last year to CP. We were had the CP dinner package. We actually seat on the second role behind the wheelchair seating. In our show (which was the second show of the evening) they only sat the people in wheelchairs that had reserved seating with the CP dinner packages. They actually run out of room for wheelchairs b/c it was so packed so no one without reserved seating in wheelchairs got to seat down. And the wheelchair person could only have one other person sit with them. There was a huge blow out between some guy and a CM over this issue in front of us. Just wanted to warn you. You might want to try talking to the CM's at the reserved seating line and see what they say.
