Question about Sam's Club

Hi,
I recently joined Sam's Club through a Living Social deal. I'm not that familiar with it. I noticed that they have some really good buys on gift cards. Do you know if they rotate those gift cards, and if yes, how often they change them? Other gift cards are maybe $1 cheaper, which is still better than nothing! Thanks!

My Sam's Club usually has the same set of gift cards available at any particular time. At the holidays, they may have a greater assortment of cards, but not a lot more. Sometimes they run out of cards, too. I like to buy my Disney gcs at Sam's. Mine has sets of 3 $50 cards for sale now and I think the cost is $146.98 or something like that. I pay with Discover, so I get that bonus, too. (I also buy gcs at Target with my Target Visa --which they're switching to MasterCard soon. You get 5% off that way.)

My Sam's currently has 5 $10 Cold Stone Creamery gift cards for something like $39, which is a great deal. There are a few others like that and I was just wondering if the deep discount ones changed at all.

I have noticed that the individual stores do change what gift cards they carry. The actual gift cards are pretty constant, but the "deep discount" ones that you get the giant cardboard placeholder for (at least at my Sam's) fluctuate quite a bit.

I've also noticed that the selection varies significantly from store to store. I would guess they have a set quantity of each of the "deep discount" cards and those disappear once they're gone, but I'm really not sure. My Sam's had a $50 gift card to a local restaurant for $39.98 earlier this summer, then it was gone for a few months, now it's back.

This is a sidenote, but if you have a Plus membership, I would strongly suggest looking at the cost of your prescriptions through Sam's versus wherever you buy them now. I had a prescription that I now get for ~$30 from Sam's with my Plus membership that was well over $100 at the next cheapest pharmacy.

i get my tmobile gc from there since its usually 5% off. i get 1% back on my credit card. Not spectacular but its better than nothing.
