So here is my issue.. I am trying to find out what type of room we are getting b/c my boss gave me his timeshare as a wedding gift for this time we are there. Cool huh? So our room number we were giving was 16S. The confusing part is i cannot locate that room on ANY map ... Can anyone help out here w/ this ? Congratulations! And what a generous gift from your boss!

That doesn't sound like any Disney Vacation Club confirmation to me - what sort of confirmation paperwork do you have? I don't know of any DVC confirmation that provides the room number ahead of time, nor have I ever seen any DVC resort with room numbers that use numbers and letters. Which resort are you booked at?

Well seems that we are staying at Saratoga Springs.. but the vacation club said its Unit #16S .. wonder if that is different then the room number ? hmmh

That sounds like a unit as designated in the sales papers, although it seems strange that you'd be given this number. Units are not individual rooms, but rooms that are legally grouped and declared together as part of the condominium. DVC buyers buy a fraction of a unit, but that unit has no bearing on the room you'll eventually get. Rooms are not assigned until a few days prior to check in and the room number isn't given out until you check in.

Do you have anything else from your boss, perhaps something that says how many points were used?

Is it an RCI exchange? For some reason RCI exchanges have a unit number listed similar to that, and no one really knows what it designates. It has nothing to do with what room you recieve.

Even those of us who own never get anything that says remotely what room we will be in until after we are checked in and the room is ready. I'm guessing this was indeed an RCI exchange.

I had the ones provided here for AKV and OKW, but I see they are missing now. What happened?

That "16S" doesn't represent a room number. Assigned room numbers are never on the confirmation, because they never assign rooms until right before your visit (and sometimes at check-in).

I suspect your boss has an RCI timeshare and traded into DVC for you. We've seen several reports of those unit numbers on RCI confirmations, so it must be some sort of internal RCI thing. As far as I know, it doesn't represent a villa type or location.

If you want to know what sort of villa you have, you'll need to ask your boss what he booked for you.

Congrats on your marriage! :cloud9:

There are 4 room types he could have booked for you. Studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and the Grand Villa. You'll have to ask him what he booked. Once you find that out, go to the following website to see pics, room layouts and 360 virtual tours of the rooms:

Choose "Disney Vacation Club Resorts" under "Our Destinations" where you can find information on Saratoga Springs.
