Question about Room Requests

We're heading for our second trip "home" (but first trip to our real home at BLT) in Jan. I know there's a way to request a certain room (or area), but I don't know how! Can anyone help?

Yes, just call member services and make your request. We usually make our requests right at the same time we make the booking. It's easier, and I always figure it's better if they know right up front what the requests are. That being said, now that we don't have to worry about making non-smoking room requests, we don't often make any at all. We have just "taken our chances" and always been pleased.

Don't bother requesting a specific room by number. Instead go by a more generic request like floor height, building number, water/pool view, etc.

Depends on what you booked - there are three different cateogires at the BWV:

Standard view
Preferred View - Boardwalk view
Preferred View - Pool/Garden

I booked a 2 bedroom through RCI and I am sure it will probably be a standard, if I had to guess.

I booked another trip where I booked pool/garden. So any info would be helpful.

I'd bet your villa is preferred - pool/garden. That is where the majority of the rooms are located. Standard is about 20%, BW view is about 20%.

I agree, it is likely pool/garden for RCI. Standard and BW view are both very popular with DVCers.
