Question about room layout - Hojo's Kids suites

Every time we have stayed in a kids suite (3 times so far) we have had the adult room located off to the left (when you walk into the door where you enter your room through the kids suite.)

In the photos, on Hojo's website (http://www.hojoanaheim.com/what-you-get/rooms) when you click on the kids suite photo, it shows the room layout exactly opposite that ours had been... it looks like the adult suite would lead to the right when you walk into the entrance.

Can someone tell me if this is correct, that they do have kids suite rooms with opposite layouts?

Thanks! Here's a photo collage of our room in 2009, it was on the 7th floor, in the room closest to the North staircase.

They do have opposite layouts. We stayed in Bldg 1, room 702

Awesome, good to know... my question is... which layout felt 'right'? In some ways I think I might prefer the layout they show on the website. We have never stayed in room 702 before. It would be kind of neat to have a different layout. Have you seen both?

Thanks! :goodvibes

Edited to add: Of course, I really don't care - know how lucky we would be to be staying at HOJO's kids suite, anyway, lol. Just curious to know what other think about the 2 different room layouts.

We do have two layouts for the Kid Suite! I’m surprised someone noticed :thumbsup2 All of the Kid Suites are in Building 1 with only 2 suites per floor, one on either end of the building. The ones ending in 02 (i.e. 1702) are closer to the front of the property and have the parent’s room on the right side. The ones ending in 18 (i.e. 1718) are towards the back and have the parent’s room on the left side. If you wanted to request to be in a specific one, just let us know and will be happy to accommodate your request as best we can.

Hope you find the one that is right, or left, for you!

I have seen only the one layout. As you mentioned, we also felt lucky that the suite was available when we booked our trip in 09 and to get it at the Entertainment rate was an added bonus.

The room really suited our family of 5 quite well. Being at Disneyland, the kids are always amped up and it was nice to have the option to get a few moments of peace and quiet in the next room if we wanted to.

:lmao:

Thanks, Kriss, for your informative reply! I am always LEFT with the RIGHT feelings when we stay at Hojo's. :goodvibes

My other question is, then the rooms with 02 are closer to the elevator, right? We've never had a problem with them at all when we stayed in the premium view suites close to the elevator, I'm just trying to get my bearings and figure it out. I also assume all of the kids suites have the main entrance located where the kids room is. Is that correct?

Do I have this diagram figured out correctly? I can't recall where the elevators fit in - I think they are right in between the kids suite and another regular room, but not sure.

Haha I LOVE that!! :rotfl: And your diagram is correct! The 02 rooms are right next to the elevator, but if you didn’t have a problem with it when you stayed in the Premium room, you should be fine with this one too.

I have stayed in each of the configs- 1202 and 1318. I had requested the 1X02 because I thought the freeway noise would be less there. With the new freeway soundproofing i doubt it would matter. HOWEVER the elevator and people getting on / off it was noisy. BUT it was nice to be right off the elevator. SO its a toss up which location is better. I really hate people noise so I think I'd prefer the 1X18 suites!

Thanks for your reply, Kriss, and I totally agree with you, we had no problem at all with the elevator, never even heard it... I was just trying to get my bearings. :) (Also - I hope no one heard our son talking so loudly as he was trying to 'adjust' to a busy day in the parks, lol. :rotfl2:)

I am just so happy whenever we book the kids suite - such a fantastic stay, always. :goodvibes

Thanks!

Did you like the layout of the 02 or the 18 room better? Thanks, for your input. :)

We had a Kid's Suite on the first floor directly to the right of the elevators. The kids room with the bunk beds was the room when we walked in the door, with the parent's room being towards the right. Our only concern was the kids getting out without us knowing. We have two boys with autism, ages 8 and 10. We loved this room so much! We did not hear people or the elevators whatsoever. I feel that being on the first floor some of the noise from the freeway is blocked due to the concrete barrier. It wasn't noticeable at all. Great room, would love to have it again! It was nice because the boys and I would get ready in the kid's part every morning while my DH slept in so we wouldn't bother him, then we would sneak out. He would call us around 11am to check on us. Lots of personal space!

I didnt think the layout made a difference at all! I think you should base yiur decision on whether you are okay near the elevator. It was noisy at times.
