Question about room in studios

Has anyone tried fitting a twin air mattress in a studio along with the sleeper sofa? (so that the kids can sleep separately, not to increase occupancy.)

I'm curious because when we stayed at the Swan in July we had a rollaway in addition to the sleeper sofa. Housekeeping had to move the sleeper sofa so that the back faced the window, but it did fit.

The configuration worked out fine for us at the Swan, but I'm not sure how the room size compares between the Swan and the DVC studios, particularly BLT, which is the smallest.

Any insight would be appreciated.

eta: The room we had at the Swan was a standard room (360 sq ft) with a king bed and a full size sleeper sofa.

Most of the DVC studios can accommodate a twin air bed, though it may be tight. From what I am reading about the BLT studio, I am not so sure. I have read reports on this board that indicate the studio seems cramped when the sleeper sofa is open.

You may have to put it in the entrance from the corridor. So you'll have to step over it to go to the bathroom.

We used a blow up pool raft at BLT (similar in size to the twin air mattress in width but not in height).

It was tight but we put it at the end of the bed, in front of the TV. Luckily, my son, who as in the sofa bed, did not have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night or he would have stepped on my DD!!!

But, we could have also put it in front of kitchenette which would have made getting around her easier, if need be.

We also stayed in BWV and VWL and there was plenty of room for it near the sleeper sofa so it was not in the way at all.

At BLT the kitchenette faces the bathroom sink and not the hallway like the other studios (not including OKW). You could put it in that hallway, but if anyone needs to go to the bathroom during the night, the floor sleeper could get stepped on. BLT studios are smaller than the other studios, so there may not be a lot of room at the foot of the bed and sleeper sofa.

It would still be tight with the way that BLT is set up. The kitchenette is a room off the main walkway and I don't think it is much wider than the space between the bed and the TV.

Now, up, closer to the door to the room, there was extra space toward the lock off door. We kept suitcases there but if those had been in the closet, it would fit there and wouldn't block the bathroom. Or, at night, the chairs from the table could be put into that space, the table moved sideways near the slider, and then I think it could be angled in front of the sleeper. This way, those on the sleeper and the bed could get to the bathroom if need be.

Again, I do think there are ways to make it fit, especially if you have children (like I do) who would rather sleep on the floor than share a bed. My DD 16 was perfectly comfortable on the raft, with a sheet, and the blanket from the closet.

We could get to the bathroom and kitchenette without waking my son up. It also fit between the bathroom and kitchen sink but did block the bathroom. I think it would have been hard to get around the room if we put it by the bed or sleeper sofa.
I think the pool rafts are not comfortable. We used them on a church trip once and did not sleep well at all. I have slept on the airbeds many times and they are comfy. Ours are the Coleman ones you buy at Walmart or Target in the camping department. The ones covered in fleece on top are better than the plastic ones.

We were also able to fit the raft easily at both BWV and VWL. I agree with you about the raft--I certainly would not have slept on one but both my DD's (13 and 16) tried it out at home before we left and said they were both fine with it (yuk!!) as I was planning on getting a nice air mattress to take. Hey, if they were happy with the $2.00 item, who was I to argue!!!!
