Question about returning a purchase

My friend purchased the Dumbo antenna topper for me when she went down to DL a week ago. I was thrilled; but also noticed that the feather in his trunk was missing. Do you think that if I call that Disney shopping number I could ask for a replacement? I am going to DL the first weekend in February, so I could bring it and try to exchange it then. Any thoughts? Also, if you think I should call now, what is the number?

Given how quickly merchandise can change over, I would probably contact DLR as soon as possible about the damaged item. It's possible that by February they will be out of stock of the item. I've had pretty good experience with Disney replacing items that were defective, so I would definitely try calling or emailing them.
