When you make a reservation for BLT and lets say you request MK view above 7th floor and give room numbers you prefer.... do they give the requests based on the day you make the reservation and the request or when you check in?

I do not think they grant a request based on time of reservation (Which I think would be most fair)

There seems to be some changes due to the "room ready" system that a close match that is first available from mousekeeping (room cleaning between guests) Some wonder if an early check-in actually results in less desireable rooms because fewer have been cleaned..

I would be concerned with too specific a request, because what if none of those specific rooms are checking out on the day of your check-in? more specific usually means less likely to be granted.

DVC does not have a formal request process any more. It's literally hit or miss with no effort or structure to the process at all.

I have been told that it's all random. It will depend on which reservation they look to assign first and that is in no particular order.

MK view would be a booking category, so that would be guaranteed. But higher floor and a specific room number would not be. Be a little more generic with your requests and there shouldn't be a problem getting them.
