question about resort and check in date??

This may sound weird but we are going to be arriving at disney on Dec 1 in the afternoon..Free dining ends on Nov 29th, was looking at booking the extra two days and getting the free dining for our extended stay..But even if it was paid in full do you still have to be in person to check in?? Would your reservation still be there if you didnt actually check in until the 1st of dec..I hope this makes sense@!!!

If you do not check in, you are a no-show and lose your entire reservation.

Just a word of caution; you are basically asking how to get around Disney rules and that is frowned upon on the boards.
