Question about renting a large number of points.

If I needed to rent a large number of points to stay at a grand villa would I have to rent them all from the same person since obviouslly I am not a DVC member.

If would be more convenient to rent them from the same person as they could make the ressie for the entire stay. Otherwise, you'd have different members making separate ressies that would need to be linked or you might end up having to move to a different villa or possibly having to check-in/out more than once.

How many is a lot? I have a lot of points available to rent, for $10 per point. Half payment when you receive reservation confirmation, the other half 60 days before your first day's stay.
