Question about reception times and length

Assuming that a typical reception lasts about 4-5 hrs, how does disney determine lunch/dinner pricing? I was reading that receptions ending before 2 will receive the lunch price...but is that time for the entire reception or just the lunch portion? Does this mean we'd have to have a 10am wedding or earlier in order to have "lunch"?

To keep the lower food and beverage minimum the reception needs to START prior to 2:00. So...that relates to a 10 or 12 noon ceremony. disney usually looks at a reception that is 5 hours (one hour for a cocktail hour and 4 hours for dinner and dancing) Hope that helps!
