Has anyone stayed here recently?

How would you describe your experience?

Were the suites clean?

Whats the area like and how far to say DTD?

For 6 nights during the 1st week of December w/AAA discount its $433-540 for a 1bdrms suite(regular/deluxe)

If anyone has stayed in the deluxe or regular/traditional 1 bdrm suites is the extra money worth the upgrade?

Also any other room request you would suggest - one bldg quieter than an other?

In my search to find a bargain I came across hotelscor.com

$39/night for a 1 bdrm at runaway beach resort WOW i thought but the only way to get this deal is to book over the phone? Anyone know if this is a timeshare gimic?

here's the link
http://orlando.hotelscorp.com/index..._hotel_overview&hotelID=1593&searchID=2757906

I called the number but they are closed right now - i really just want to know if this great savings will end up costing me a bundle in hidden costs:confused3

Thanks in advance:goodvibes

in regards to the Hotelscorp deal....

If you will sit through a sales pitcth one morning for 90 minutes while having a buffet style breakfast you can stay in a 1 bdrm at Runaway Beach Club Resort for a total of $36.67/night which includes taxes.

If you don't want to sit through the pitch its $49/night plus taxes

You can never had stayed at Westgate Lakes before as this is what the sales pitch is actually for - but the say they guareentee that you are at Runaway BCR.

On line they run about $90/night for a basic 1 bdrm condo unit - all units have W&D in them and full kitchens and dishware etc - but NO housekeeping - this wouldn't bother me because I own at DVC.

If you cancel anytime up to 72hours prior to your arrival date you will be charged $25.00 closer than 72 hours they charge the whole thing.

okay I have things to think about:confused:

Do we want to book at $49/ngt or sacrifice one morning to I'm sure high sales pressure -- I know we won't buy so breakfast for 3 for free - probably evens out - but I'm still thinking:confused3

As far as the place goes - Tripadvisor which usaully doesn't praise places in reviews - comes in at a 4.5 out 5 -

I can look and see the awful reviews - but I can also see them for OKW and BWV and PBR - so I don't take them too seriously:upsidedow

If we do this I'll definately let everyone know if it was worth the savings or not.
