Question about purchasing tickets

We are going to WDW December 13-21 and want to purchase 9 Day Park Hopper Tickets. We are staying on-site, but booked rooms with a RO discount, not a package.

Undercover Tourist has 8 or 10 day hoppers, but no 9 day. However the 10-day ticket would still save us around $10 per ticket over purchasing through Disney. The Official Ticket Center has a 9-day hopper that would save us about $18 per ticket. Does anyone have experience with the Official Ticket Center and if so, would you suggest using them?

Is it easy to link the tickets from these places to MDE so we can do fastpass +? Or is it better to just buy straight from Disney?

We have purchased UT tickets many times. We currently have them linked to MDE, no problem. The only reason I would see to buy directly is if you are close to your travel date. If so, when you purchase directly from Disney they are immediately linked to MDE so if you are within your 60 day window you could immediately make FP + selections.

Linking the tickets is super easy... Easiest if you have a mobile device with the app installed and you use the camera directly from the app to scan the code on the back of the ticket and immediately link it to a family member. I did 5 tickets in less than 2 minutes
