I have two pins that were "packaged with random proofs". When I received them, there wasn't anything in the box except for the pins, the invoice, and some ads. (Disney does LOOOVE to advertise :) ) Am I missing something? Are the pins the proofs? I have the jumbo red Tinker Bell LE 500 and the Jumbo Sleeping Beauty scene LE 500. THanks so much!

If you got one of the proofs, it will be stamped AP on the back.

As stated by Roxane, the pins COULD be the proofs. To tell if it is check the back for an AP. Pins are made by first creating a series of proofs with different features (gold outline, silver outline, different base metal, etc. and shown to the artist who created the design to see which they think captures the spirit of their creativity. The artist then tells the manufacturer, along
with Disney management, which proof to use in the manufacturing process. Artist proofs used to be kept by the artist even though it technically was Disney property. Then Disney found out they could sell them to us collectors and "poof" gone was that perk. This really ticked off some artists.

If you get a proof, you are basically getting an LE of 1

I checked both pins, and didn't see an AP on the back of either. It says "Official Disney Pin Trading 2007 Limited Edition 500 copyright Disney China".
Thank you for your quick responses :)
