Question about printing boarding passes online

I know my trip is aways out still, but I was wondering how this works.

We purchased our airline tickets through Disney. When the time comes for our trip, I want to print them out the day before. I'm not sure if this is possible or not. I'm not sure that we can do it since we bought the tickets from Disney.

Can anyone help out a newbie to flying? Can we go onto Delta's website and print out the boarding passes or do we go to Disney's website and print them out. Or do we have to wait until we get to the airport?

TIA....

Just call Disney and request your airline confirmation number. I've done this in the past and it works just fine. Then, when the time comes, just go online to the airline and enter the conf. # and you'll be able to print out your boarding passes.

If you are checking bags, there's not much of a time savings that results from doing online check in and printing BPs out in advance with an airline like Delta that has assigned seating. (The exception would be at airports that have some kind of express baggage check for passengers who have checked in online.) As a result, in most cases it's just fine to go ahead and wait until you get to the airport.

That said, you can check in on Delta's Web site starting 24 hours in advance of your scheduled departure time. You will need the Delta confirmation number. I am not sure if Disney provides that in your documentation when you have booked the air travel through them, but they should be able to give it to you if you call them.

If you have a Delta Skymiles #, give it to the agent and it will show up on Delta's website under "my trips".

It's a good idea to do online check-in. If for some reason they have to bump someone, they sometimes go by who checked in last. I was on a Continental flight once where 2 people had to get off after boarding for weight & balance. No one volunteered so they took the last 2 to check-in.

This! Waiting to check in at the airport could lead to no longer having an assigned seat. Just print it the day before. No need to be right at the 24hr mark. Just anytime the day before should work.
