question about priceline

How does it work? If I am interested in a particular hotel, can you be specific? Or does it give you the hotel it chooses and you don't have a choice? Specifically I am looking at SW. We will not be renting a car, and will need transportation to SW. Sounds like the Renaissance right across the way you can walk across the street. BUT, It is apparently very expensive. But there is a thread on the SW section that says many people were getting really great rates for that hotel. Can you specify that hotel somehow?

The Renaissance is the only Resort that's been won in the Universal/SeaWorld area on Priceline. Bid for a resort following the examples of the winning bids on www.biddingfortravel.com and cross your fingers. Luckily in that category, you will not get another hotel.

I use Priceline all the time, and use the website above to help me with the bids. I have had excellant luck. I never bid under a 2 1/2 star...My girls and I are taking a 16 day road trip this summer...Spending time in Niagara Falls ON, Chicago, Amish Country PA, and NJ....and the total will be $484 (3 days I paid full price not included)I have for the most part all Sheratons and I am thrilled....

For car rentals even better...last year got a mini van for @26 dollars a day at budget at the airport at MCO.
