Question about Priceline & DTD Hilton

howdy all,

i am in the process of booking a trip in may 2007. i would like to stay at the DTD Hilton because of proximity and EMH and was noticing some of the people mentioning that they had gotten great rates at priceline. i have never used it so i am a definite newbie. what are some things i could do to increase my odds of getting this specific hotel? would it be a good idea to only bid on 1 night and then if i get it, increase the nights at the same rate through priceline?
