Hi,
we are brand new DVC members, we took the tour while we were there at Christmas and knew it was for us! Anyhow, we have been told that the crowds are low in February so plan to go Feb 2008. Looking at the points charts the first two weeks in Feb are in the Choice season (285 points for a two bed in SSR) and the second two weeks are in the Magic Season (316 points for a 2 bed in SSR). I have searched the internet and Disney itself and other than president's day I cannot see a reason for it. So I thought I would come to the people who would know! Is there a special event or soem reason as to why it jumps a season for two weeks and are the crowds big on that two weeks?

Thanks

EMma

I've been during the week containing Presidents' Day and it was busy, but not on the same scale as Easter or Christmas.

I'm pretty sure that some states take a full week's holiday around this time. Last year I was there the first week in March and was surprised at how busy it was compared to my favourite time of November; I think Spring break had started too. Weather was lovely though so still thought it was a lovely time to be there. :)

the peak dvc seasons are differnt to normal disney resort seasons(think more dvc go of peak for some reason)

You've hit the nail on the head. It does get significantly busier around the Presidents' Day weekend, hence the category jump. I know that quite a few UK DISers have visited during the February half-term and have been surprised at the crowd levels. I'd avoid it if you can.
