I am interested in renting points for a stay in Sept. Our dates are flexible after Sept. 10. Will we be eligible for the free dining plan if we rent points and purchase tickets? I called and spoke to two different people and they could not tell me cuz they didn't know. The last person told me to ask a DVC member. So here I am...

Also, I am totally confused :confused3 on where we should stay. We have small children (under 3) and grandma. Any suggestions? I am torn between BCV and SS because the pool looks so awesome and then OKW because it is more affordable. What do you all think? Thanks!

You will not be eligible for FREE dining, because one of the triggers for that is paying "RACK RATE" for a room. Renting DVC points is not a transaction you make with Disney, but with an individual DVC member, therefore, you will not be paying rack rate from Disney for your accommodations. What size villa are you planning to rent?

How many people total are you talking about here? DVC will allow 4 plus one child young enough to sleep in a Pac-N-Play in a studio. At Most DVC resorts, a studio will include 1 queen sized bed and one full size hide-a-bed. There will be no other bedding available except the Pac-N-Play. OKW studios have 2 queen beds, and no sleep sofa. Studios will also have kitchenettes with an under counter fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. 1 bedroom villas also sleep 4, but Member services is allowing 5 at this time. The problem is that there will still only be 1 king bed in the master plus a queen sleep sofa in the living room and 1 Pac-N-Play. A 2 bedroom villa will have a king in the master, either 2 queens or 1 queen and 1 full size sleep sofa in the second bedroom and a queen sleep sofa in the living room. The villas 1 bedroom or larger will also have in room laundry, jacuzzi, baths with each bedroom, full kitchen, living room and balcony. OKW vilas are larger than those of the other DVC resorts.

There are three adults, one child and a 1 year old. So I was told that would qualify for a studio because the baby sleeps in a pack and play.

OKW only has one queen bed and no pull out sofa? How do four people fit in there then? Where do they sleep?

Oops, I read that wrong. Two queen beds is good. How is the pool there? Is it a zero depth? Does it have a slide?

Sorry, all DVC resorts EXCEPT OKW have 1 queen bed, 1 full size sleep sofa and a pac-N-Play in the studio. OKW has 2 queen beds and the pac n play. The 1 bedrooms are a master with a king, 1 queen sleep sofa and a pac n play. Member services will likely allow you to stay in a studio, but there will only be the bedding mentioned above. You would have to bring another pac n play with or maybe rent a crib.

OKW has two queen sized beds, like Diane noted in her response. It is the only villa with two regular queen sized beds in the studio. All other studios have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

OKW pool has a slide but it is not zero depth.

A studio and a one bedroom will only have four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. No rollaways or cots will be provided.

While OKW does not have a zero entry pool, the three quiet neighborhood pools have handicapped entrance blocks and playgrounds. The main pool has the sand castle slide and also a seperate kiddie pool as well as a wonderful sand play area with large scuptures.
