Question about Point Transfers

I have ** points expiring on ** that I will not be able to use. These are banked points. I have heard that banked points can NOT be transferred to another member, meaning that my only option would be to rent them (not really an option for just ** points). However, I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on the member website.

Is my understanding correct? Are banked points truly ineligible for transfer to other members?

yes no transfering banked points. You could combine them with current or borrowed points to make a rental reservation, but is it worth the trouble.

Thanks for the information (actually, NO thanks -- I was hoping somebody would say that I was wrong!).

I need my future points too badly to borrow them for a rental. I guess I will have to mourn the passing of my **. Any ideas for an appropriate send off?

Take a look in your 2008-2009 Vacation Planner, page 9, under Banking Vacation Points:

"Banked Vacation Points cannot be borrowed or transferred."

Thanks for the reference. I will have to look in my kids' rooms for the planner. They like to cut out the "pretty pictures!"
