Question about Pirate and Princess Party

I have a question for anyone who has been to the Pirate and Princess Party. Do you think it would be fun for a four year-old or is he a little too young? We were thinking that we might do that for his birthday night celebration. My plan was to buy him the Captain Jack Sparrow costume and PPP tickets and give them to him that day at Disney. Then, he could wear the costume to his birthday dinner at CM, we could have them do a Mickey Pirate cake, and then we could go to the PPP after that. But, I don't want to spend the extra money for the tickets and stuff if there isn't anything he would really enjoy. What do you guys think? :confused3

We have been twice, and I would say that your son would love it.
Collecting beads and candy, and seeing Mickey etc. in Pirate costume, a great parade and fireworks show.
Go and have fun....I love your birthday dinner idea first, it will build his exicement for the party.

We went just before my son turned 4. He had a great time. It's fun for the kids to look for the "X"s that mark the spots where the CMs hand out candy and beaded necklaces. From what I remember, everything in Toontown Fair was open except Donald's Boat. My little guy was also very brave that night, riding Splash Mountain and BTMR. Although we missed him, we heard that Captain Jack was there for people to get photos with him.

Plus, no lines! Bonus!

We went in Aug w/ DS 3 & 5 (10 too!) & they all loved it. DH & DS 10 went on a lot of the rides (no wait times) while DSs 3 & 5 & I hit the Character & 'X' spots. Capt Jack was in a building to the rt as you enter AL. This is one of the few times you can get a pic & autograph of the Capt'n

Our DD was about 4.5 when we went this last February and it was EXCELLENT. We will never NOT go if they offer it the next time we're there. It's a little expensive but so worth it because of the ambience and literally NO lines. The biggest lines we had were to see Ariel, about 45 minutes. We walked by Captain Jack and it was something like a 90 minute wait (we didn't wait). And, you get your own fireworks display and it's unlike anything we've ever seen before. DO IT! You won't regret it in the least.

I think he will have a great time. They have so many activities to keep kids of all ages busy. And it's fun to see the characters and such in other costumes. We all really enjoyed it when we went in August!

Thanks everyone....I think we have decided to do it!

I am glad you are going to the P&P Party. We took our 3 children (ages 7, 5, & 2) at the time of our trip. All loved it. There were practically no lines for any rides. At Peter Pan, we rode 3 times and never got off. They told us we could stay on since they had no one in line. The dance party with Flounder and Sebastian was also a big hit with all 3. The worst lines we encountered were for Ariel and the Princesses.

I hope you have a great trip. I hope your son has a "magical" birthday!:wizard:

We took my dd last year as she turned four. She loved it. The character interaction is terrific! It's worth standing in line to see Capt. Jack Sparrow...he was amazing.

My dd did zonk out around 10:00. She is noramlly not a napper, but I think if we do the party again we will really try to force a nap mid day.

I'm glad you decided to go! You will have such a fun time!
