Question about Picking Up Car at Dolphin??

I'll be picking up a rental car from National at the Dolphin the night before the last day of my trip to go to Universal, then the airport.

Do I actually have to MOVE the car at that time?? I know the rental car desk closes sometime before 5pm, but is the rental car parking lot fenced off, or locked up after that time??

For example.

My pickup time is at 4pm, so I'm planning on going to the desk and getting the paperwork and the keys. Then I'm planning on going to the business center and getting my boarding pass (I can do this anytime after 5:15 pm). Then plan on going to one of the Epcot Resorts for dinner, then back to Epcot for Illuminations. After Illuminations, THEN I would go back to the Dolphin and drive the car over to Pop Century where I'm staying.

Or should I just go ahead and move the rental car over to self-parking at the Dolphin.

The valets at the Dolphin actually get your car for you-so I think you can pick up your keys and slip but can get the valets to get your car at any time-they have a desk/window and you give them your keys/slip when you are ready.
