We're having to leave for the airport before 6am, and will be using DME. I'm HOPING our room will be ready shortly after we arrive so we can crash for a nap. So here's my question: I'm a bit of a germaphobe w/ my kids and I like to use those little bitty travel lysols (and the wipes too!) to clean the room when we get in. So does anyone know if these are allowed in carry ons since it might be awhile before we get our luggage???

Thanks!

No, aerosols are not permitted in carry-on OR checked bags, except for personal care products, which apparently does not include Lysol. I say "apparently" because I've carried it before without realizing it was not allowed and it was never questioned. I'm not suggesting you try to sneak it through.

Sorry no areosol of any size in carry on or chacked bags you will have no problem with the lysols well i guess you already are there hope everything went okay. Have fun

If need be, hit one of the stores at the Orlando airport between getting off the plane and going to ME. I'm sure you'll probably find some kind of sanitizing stuff in there. Either that or your resort store.

We just came back and I had the travel package of clorox wipes in my carry-on ziploc and didn't have a problem on our flight to or from. It still is interesting to see what people will try to get through. The woman in front of us had to bottles of soda in the outside pockets of her backpack and some more in the backpack and got all upset and loud when they were all taken away. She even wanted to know who to talk to to get her money back for the soda!!!

Sorry no to the areosols and the wipes if in liquids will have to comply with the 3-1-1 liquid rule so if they are 3 oz or less you can bring. You have to put them in a one quart size zip lock bag. I guess you mean travel wipes in a smaller package you should be fine as long as it 3 oz or less but no aresol lysols will be allowed no matter what size.

The words I highlighted are VERY incorrect. You can take on wipes of ANY sort. The wipes do NOT need to comply with the 3-1-1 liquid rule as they are NOT liquid. They are wipes.

The aerosol lysol is not permitted. The only aerosols you can bring (that must be under 3.4 ounces (100 ml) are things that are PERSONAL use...things you can spray on your body (toiletries). Lysol isn't something I'd want to spray on my body.

Again, the wipes are absolutely NO problem.

I work for TSA.

The words I highlighted are VERY incorrect lol how was i supposed to know it was very incorrect i went go on tsa.gov there they telling people anything with liquids has to follow 3-1-1 rule their no where i could find saying that you can bring cleaning wipes in carry on. Now i know and i do more research next time so i dont post worng info thank you. Thanks for posting the right info even though their no way to guarantee that every tsa worker will let things through. Glad to know that you follow the rules wish all the tsa will follow the same rules please stay safe and have fun at work.

THe DHS has hard enough time getting tsa employess to watch the screen while they are working the x ray machines instead of talking to their co works. Just think of how many things get on the airplane that shouldn't.

Sorry this has nothing to do with this post or saying that every one that works for tsa dose this. It just piss me off that we have to take or shoes off and comply with extra securty and tsa get to slack off.

I like the way carriemel posted her info, it made it VERY clear what part of the previous post was correct, and which was not. :thumbsup2

Sometimes people speed read or skim threads, and this way makes it more likely someone will catch the info they need....from both of you. :goodvibes
