Question about payments

We have made our down payment, and are waiting for our contract in the mail. Once we have all that done, how do we make monthly payments? Can we put this on a credit card? I'd love to make the payments each month on the Disney Credit Card and then just pay that off each month. Is that possible?

Did you buy directly through Disney? I know that there only payment options are a loan. It would be up to the lender you are financing through as to whether or not they allow you to make the monthly payments via credit card. Most installment loans that I know of do not allow this but I would suggest calling your guide to find out. I would also assume that it will be in your paperwork as to what you are agreeing to in terms of financing.

I am going through TSS for my purchase and am paying cash (small contract). I know that I can't put it on the credit card but have to send a certified check with the closing documents.

You can set up an EFT from your bank account for monthly payments. You could make extra payments on the principle with your CC, but Disney will still take the same monthly payment out on schedule until it is paid in full.

You can only use a credit card for annual dues if you pay them in a lump sum.

If you opt for the monthly method, you have to allow DVC to take them electronically from your checking account.

Thanks. I pretty much figured we couldnt' use the Disney Card...but I was hoping.

If we do pay extra (most likely wouldn't be this year) we will use the card.

If you can arrange other financing (like a home equity loan), you could put it on your Disney card, get the reward points, then pay it off with other financing. That's how I purchased my DVC originally (to the AOL Visa then).
