Hello everyone,

I am planning for our 3rd WDW trip - the previous times we book via a TA and AAA respectively. This time we would like to book directly via disney.com - considering to book a 3-night cruise + 7 days land separately (as DW wants DDP deluxe)

I learned that for Disney Cruise, we have to make $1000 deposit and pay the remaining balance XX day before sail. Will Disney charge my credit card automatically when it is due? Can I pay the remaining balance earlier?

Now, about Disney Resorts - does it work the same way? Will they charge my credit card XX days (how many days) in advance?

you should consider booking thru disneycruise.com-you can now add the different dining plans to you land portion of the stay. I would call them! Added plus your KTTW cards remain the same from the hotel at WDW to your room on the cruise. The land/sea packages also come automatically with 7 day parkhopper tickets-so you could do 7 days prior or another 3/4 days after the cruise. Just an idea. I would call them;it just seems like a large amount of stress to keep up on the 2 seperate booking with all the details when DCL can handle/book all of it for you and take care of your final payment. Or you could drop an email to the magicforless.com and see what kind of group space they have for the cruise-and we used Deb-she was wonderful! We had a large group and we all wanted to stay LVC at the POLY and add dinner shows, fireworks cruise etc. and she added a less expensive alternative to disney's transportation-which was to/from the ship. She was wonderful and very knowledgable! Good luck in whatever you decide!

I agree w/Frankiesmom -- Check w/DCL first and see what they can do. If you do end up booking land/sea portions separately, the land portion would be a $200 deposit with the balance due 45 days prior to check-in. You can pay it in any increments you like.

A BIG thanks to you both! I'll call them and see what they can do.

My initial rationale for separate booking is because:
1). DW wants 2008 Dining Plan Deluxe - seems you can only add the regular DDP
2). DW wants to stay in GF and I prefer a lower-grade statement room (Category 4-6) on the cruise :-)

Anyway, will see what they can offer :-)
