Question About Parking

We are planning our first off-site trip in March. We have always stayed onsite and relied on Disney Transportation to get to the parks. So my question is, should we just park at MK then use the transportation at transportation and ticket center or just park at whatever park we are going to. For example, if we are going to Hollywood Studios, should we just park at Hollywood studios or at the T&TC. We do tend to park hop so that makes me think we may be better of at the T&TC.

It depends. If you park at the TTC, you will be able to monorail or boat over to the MK, monorail to Epcot, bus to DHS and AK. There will be transportation to other parks at each of the parks, so you wouldn't have to keep returning to TTC...just at the end of the day to get your car.
But, if you are headed to DHS and want to head over to Epcot as well, I would suggest parking at DHS. That way you can do what you need at DHS, then boat or walk to Epcot, and stay there until the park closes. Then, you can walk back to DHS and get your car if the boats aren't running there late that night. It's about a 22 min walk, along a nice walkway.
But it is very doable to park at TTC and go in various directions from there.

If you are not hopping then just park at the park you are going to. Why add an extra un-needed step into a long day? At some of the parks if you are there at rope drop you won't even need to get on a tram you will be close enough to the gate. This is especially true at AK. Just walk out at the end of the day get into your car and go. Why wait in the packed monorail or bus lines just to go to another parking lot?

Since you only pay for parking once, why waste time using WDW transportation???

To clarify, you cannot park at the MK - you park at the MK lot across from the TTC.

Use your own vehicle and you can come and go as you please...just get a receipt when you first pay.

I agree. It is far easier to commute between the parks in your car than to rely on the buses. The only exception would be if you are hopping between Epcot and MK. In this case it may make sense to park at the TTC and then use the monorail to get to MK/Epcot. As for going to the other parks DHS/AK, just get back in the car and drive. Then there is no need to take the bus back to where you were parked.
