Question about parking at resorts

We have friends staying at ASSports. We are going to be staying off-site and will have a car.
I was wondering if we could park at ASSports and take the bus to the parks with our friends so that we are traveling together, or if we would have to drive to the park on our own.
We are annual pass holders if that makes any difference in this equation.

You’d honestly be better off parking at the park and meeting them there. Your AP entitles you to free theme park parking. Or, pick your friends up at Sports and drive them to the park.

As the PP said, resort lots are for the use of registered guests of the resort and those visiting the resort to shop, dine, visit guests, or use recreational facilities. You’re expected to take your car with you when you leave the resort.

I think you could have your friends register the car to their ressie. There would be a parking fee charged to them but it would allow you to park your car there. But, like others said, AP allows free theme park parking, but not free resort parking, even if tied to a ressie.

I am not arguing but the parking fee is for overnight parking. Assports is a very big lot. I would park there if you wanted.

Disney can’t handle this, they would end up charging a parking fee for the entire length of stay instead of the one day the car was there and it won’t be there overnight. You would have to go to the front desk at the end of your trip to do their job for them since the whole parking system seems to still be assessed by guessing.

I was talking of registering it for length of stay & there would be no requirement for the car to be there overnight & yes they would be charged to park it.

We just did a stay offsite. I am an AP holder. We simply went and parked in the "best" park (i.e., the one open the latest)....and worked our day around that.....simply showed my AP and drivers license at the Main Gate, went in and parked and had the freedom to travel all over and end up back at that parking lot at the end of the day.
