Question about park tickets...FL and CA

We are going to Disneyworld in December, and some relatives are joining us from CA. They are wondering if they don't use their park tickets in FL, can they use them at Disneyland in CA?

I'm sure I'll keep them busy enough that they don't need to bring them home with them, but just in case!

Yes.

A Walt Disney World park hopper ticket will be accepted at Disneyland.

It doesn't work the other way around, though. You can't use a Disneyland ticket at Disney World.
