are all of these things on one card? does every person in the party get one? soe each adult and child would have their own card which is their park ticket, dining plan, and room key?
or how does this work? and if each person has one how do you carry them, and keep track whose is whose or is it all on one card?
forgive my ignorance :)

Yes. Your Key to the World Card will work as your room key, park admission, dining plan credits and if you allow it, charging privledges. Yes, everyone in the room will get one. Disney asked for everyone's names when you booked the package...everyone will recieve their own personalized card.

Only one card, any card* is submitted by group of people on a dining plan to use the meal credits.

*unless meal paying privileges are specifically suppressed from that card at check in. Charging privileges can also be suppressed from specific cards.

Key To The World Cards:
Everything that you paid for will be on there, such as your resort room entry, theme park passes and Disney Dining Plan. Also, you may also use the card to charge anything that you may wish to purchase.
Everyone in your travel party receives a card.

It looks as though you have answer to what is on the card...here is my suggestion on how to keep up with all of them.
First, we purchased baggallinis(you can google it to find out...I have forgotten the website where I ordered them). This bag has a great strap that goes across from one shoulder to the opposite hip, so you don't have to worry about it falling off..hands free. The strap has a great deal of other perks but the one on the strap(in front) has a zipper compartment large enough to hold your cell or your Card to the World. I kept all of them....made sure I went through bag/security check first....walked out of the way...then handed out the cards to each family member as they walked toward the entry area....everyone used their own card to get in and gave them back to me after for safe keeping....this was great!! Noone lost there key, left it in the room,or any other terrible thing. The thought of getting all the way to the park and discovering someone left their card in the room...well, would just make me lose sleep! Hope this helps you.

We had 5 people in our party. I bought a lanyard at Staples. It is a rect pouch with a strap to hang around my neck/shoulder. I kept all of the cards in one pouch, plus it held my ID, credit card and cash. Plus any fastpasses. I thought that I would not like it around my neck all of the time, but I hardly noticed it. It was better than routing in my backpack for cards for dining and fastpasses.
