Hi Everyone! We are going to be at DL/DCA from August 11-15, which means that the calendar for those dates just started loading this week! yay!

However, I noticed that this is the first week that the park hours go from 8am start to 9am, and from a 12am close to 11pm… does this mean that they are anticipating 'fewer' (in quotations, because I get that it is still summer, and will still be super busy) crowds this week?

Also, I just booked the Plaza Inn breakfast for the friday and I am so excited! We have done Goofy's kitchen before, but never the Plaza and I'm so excited to try a new location :)

I wouldn't anticipate fewer crowds.
Some CA schools begin in early August, so DLR may begin cutting hours at that time.

I do think there is some thinking that the crowds will be slightly reduced at that point. Some of the local school districts appear to be back in session by mid-August. Still, I think there will be good sized crowds at the parks at that point because it is still summer and there are plenty of folks taking "end-of-summer" trips.

That looks like the last week the SoCal and SoCal select passes are blocked out. Hopefully you will see a small decrease in crowds. The following week probably gets crazy though with all the pass holders being good to go...

Thanks everyone! My husband and I went for our honeymoon at the same time in 2007, and the park was empty! It was a super hot week though (in the 40s C… what is that in F? 110? I'm Canadian… :confused3) and I remember the power in the HoJo went out because it was so hot… it was awesome though! We walked on everything! I'm secretly hoping that it might be slow again when we are there this year… I totally expect it to be packed… but I can dream right :)
