Question about park hopping

We don't normally park hop so I don't bother to pay for it. There is one day during our upcoming trip that we may want to hop though. Am I correct that if we want to hop one day we'll have to add it to all the days of our tickets? You can't get 1 day of hopping on a 7 day ticket right?

I've looked in 2 guide books and on this site and it does not appear that you can just add it to one day. It may be possible to upgrade a remaining day on a ticket to a hopper at guest relations but I'm not sure if you can just pick one day when multiple days remain. If you were to purchase a 6 day base ticket and 1 day park hopper, it would not make sense as you are paying an extra $74 (if my math is right) to just get a hopper for one day, whereas, if you were to just add the hopping privledge to your 7 day pass it would only cost you an additional $47 and that gets you hopping all 7 days. Who knows, you may end up hopping on other days anyway since you have the availability to do so.

That's correct. 1 day or 7 days or 10 days... adding "Hopping" to any MYW ticket is about $47 for the life of the ticket.
