Question about Park Hoppers

We are staying for 8 nights and I got the 9 day hopper with our package. Please bear with me because I'm very particular about everything! This is our first time going and staying in the resort and more than 1 day. When we go to say MK and then leave do we get our hand stamped? or do we just use our hopper to get back in later in the evening or would that deduct another day?

You will not get a day deducted if you leave a park and return to the same or different the same day. You can stamp your hand if you want to, my dd5 thought the stamp was neat even when we did not need the stamp.

With the new biometric finger scan the hand stamp is no longer needed. If a CM is at the exit with a stamp pad and a rubber stamp by all means have your hand stamped, but if there is no one there with a stamp don't worry about it.

If you are returning to the same park later in the day you do not need a hopper pass nor will you lose another day off your ticket. The hopper only comes into effect if you go to more than one park in the same day.

During the last few trips I took (during May-Dec 2005) they were no longer doing hand stamps at all.

We park hopped and never had our hands stamped, never even saw a person with a stamp pad or those light things they use to read them. We never had any issues and on some days were in and out of 3 parks.

We were there May, 2005 and they were still hand-stamping, but, saying it really wasn't necessary. However, when we were there December, 2005 they were no longer hand-stamping at all. And, no, if you go back to a park in the evening another day will not be deducted from your Park Hopper. You will simply put your ticket through the machine again and your fingers in the scanner and the ticket will read that you are reentering a park that day.
