Question about park hopper

I don't really mind about not booking FP the first 2 days if it's not possible. We are only going into the MK for a few hours to try to catch the parades since one of our party has never seen a WDW parade! Then when our room is ready, we will go back to the resort, take a quick rest then out for dinner at DS then back to the resort for bed! ( we will be up at 3 am arrival day).
The second day we were planning on doing AK - which we always take at a nice slow pace. We enjoy the rides but we also enjoy the sights and the shows so if we don't get to ride Exp Everest that day - there are always 8 other days!
I have to admit I don't think I'm going to be a fan of picking my FP before I get to the parks. It kind of makes you plan your entire trip around something you decided a month ago! Where is the spontaneity of years ago?? What if you book all AK fastpasses for one day but you get up and just don't feel lime going to AK - it feels more like a MK kind of day??
This is my first trip with the advance FP+ so we will see how it goes. However it works out - I don't care - I'm at DISNEY!

Can I park hop without park hoppers? I'm going for a 6 day trip but really only want to do 4 days at the parks. If I get 4 day park hoppers, it will add nearly 300$ to my trip. If I do 5 days with no park hopper, it's only $65 more.

Can I go from 1 park to the next and have them count as separate day uses? Or do I have to have park hoppers to do two parks in one day?

(This is THE most-asked question about multi-day tickets.)

2. Guests cannot "Hop" without the Hopper options (or having an AP.)
The entry-gates will refuse the non-hopper ticket if it has been used at another park that same day.

Think about it. If you could do that do you think anyone would ever buy hoppers?

If the reason is ever because it's cheaper the answer is always no
