Question about Parades

Hi everbody. I've never posted before, but I'm really confused and need the help of some of you experts out there. I noticed on the disney boards that on a couple of the nights that we are going to be at MK, there is a spectromagic parade at both 9:00 and at 11:00. I was under the impression that MK closed at 10:00. If the second parade does'nt even start until 11pm when does the park close? Does this have to do something with the E-rides?
Also, the nights when they are having the second parade are July 12th and July 13th, a Monday and Tuesday, which I think is rather odd. Thanks for helping me out with this.

During our visit in June we saw Spectro at 11 pm on a Tuesday night that MK was open until 11 pm. I checked the WDW official site and that schedule shows MK open until 11 pm on the two nights you are asking about. I definitely recommend seeing the second Spectro---not as many people will stay so you can get a really great spot just about anywhere without staking out a spot 2 hours in advance. Thanks. So the park does'nt actually "close" at 11 (since the parade starts at that time), but the rides do?

Correct. The rides and "lands" of the park will shut down as the second Spectro begins, and by the time the parade is over, the only thing still open will be Main Street, which will remain open as people exit, for those last minute purchases. Think of the parade as a way to get people out of the rides and attractions and onto the street so that they can follow the parade out of the park.
