Question about Pal Mickey

Hi,

Just wondering about this Pal Mickey. Sounds interesting but I was wondrering how it worked. The jist I got from one post implied that it is tied into some kind of RF system at the park so that it can tell you about stuff going on while you walk around. (ie. you are in a certain part of the park and it tells you that x event is about to happen).

If this is what it does then it would be worth buying.

Or does it just have a programmed set of things to say and repeats them in a random sequence?

Thanks

P.S. how do you get those things at the bottom of your sig that tells how long till you get to Disney?

Pal Mickey is programmed in 3 ways.... he tells you when events are happening around the parks and clues you in to different features as you're touring; he tells jokes (a LOT of jokes!); he has 3 games (along the lines of the game "Simon"). His famous 'Mickey giggle' alerts you to him having something to tell you as you go through the park and you press his tummy to prompt him to give you the info.

Pal Mickey will instruct you on pressing his hands in various sequences to prompt him in game play, and his 'inner works' can be removed so you can wash him up when you get home. He really is a sweet guy..... you're not going to be able to return him after a day's rental so you may as well just purchase him right up front! ;)

PS: Head over to the Tech Support board and they will help you get a countdown clock. :)

We got a Pal Mickey when we were in Disney a couple of weeks ago and it was a lot of fun. He told cute jokes, would tell you when parades or shows were about to start, made funny comments especially on Tower of Terror, you can play games and he kept our 2 year old daughter occupied. If you didn't hear him you can squeeze his stomach and he will repeat what he said. He would come on as we passed certain buildings on Main Street and give little bits of info on them. He would aslo tell us that we should go to Pirates because there was no line.

My 2 year old plays with him at home. She likes listening to him tell jokes. It was worth it for us.

:D

Well I guess that settles it..I'm going to buy a pal mickey for my 7yo son. I still don't get exactly how he knows that there is no line at x ride or something is going on in the park. Has to be similar to a alpha numeric pager with the ability to synthize voice.:earsboy:

P.S.

Thanks for the tip on the tech board. Going there now.:smooth:
