We want to go to WDW over my children's spring break, which is the first week of April. I went to teh website and got a quote for staying onsite at POR, and was satisfied with teh price. However, it says the final payment is due Feb. 16!!! We were planning on using our tax return to fund this trip as we don't have the money otherwise. Is there ANY way at all to not have to pay the payment so early? Obviously, I don't mind paying before we go, but usually our refund only comes in March. We will get more than enough money back to pay for the trip. Suggestions?

One option is to pay for the trip with a credit card or get a cash advance on a credit card and use that and then pay that off when you get your tax return. As long as you pay it off in full, you shouldn't get hit with any finance charges.

Hello, final payment is due on the date they give you, 45 days before the trip. Some people have bought their tickets at the park to have more time to save some money, others have added the dining plan at the last minute and immediatly sent the money. But your hotel and airfare (if you booked that through them also) is going to be due at the 45 days.

Have you considered buying your passes seperately from your room? If you book room only you do not have to pay for it until you arrive. You can buy your passes at any time.

If you book a hotel room only you do not have to pay in full the 45 days out - you pay I believe 1 night deposit and pay for the rest in full when you check in. Was there a particular reason you booked a package - such as included the magic your way with dining option - if not pricing is usually similar priced if you purchase your tickets and book room separately and you could still apply a AAA rate to the room price. I paid off the trip with my Disney Visa for the points and then got online and paid off the trip with Visa - so you could also rack up some points on a CC and just pay it off when you get your refund check too.

Do you have a Disney VISA? If you use it to completely pay for a WDW package (deposit and then later the balance) you get 6 months at 0% APR. This would allow you to pay the balance on Feb. 16 and then pay off the CC when your tax return arrives in March.

Thanks for all the great tips..I applied today for the Disney Visa...that would work. We only have one other CC and don't use it often...it has a low limit on it, per our request. Anyway, will keep trying. As for getting a package, yes, we added dining because we want character meals galore! I am going to enjoy my children after a rough 2 years! lol... Thanks for all the help!
