Question about Owners Locker

I will be making my first trip home in 25 days . I already signed up for my Owner Locker, but I'm worried it won't be enough room for everything that I'm sending/bringing. I know that they hold more than you think, and I've looked at people's lists to see how much and what it can hold. I have 2 sizes of Crock pots that I'm sending (6.5 qt & 4 qt) plus all the other convience items. My question is, if I don't have enough room for everything, can I call when I'm there for them to drop off an additional box or do I have to take what doesn't fit back home and order another one for my next trip?

I'm sure that they can drop off another box, as long as you give them a day or two of notice. Their customer service is excellent!

If you don't think you'll have computer access while you're at WDW, that might make it less convenient to set up account for your new box, though -- I'm not sure. You could call and ask about this, or, if worst came to worst, the deluxe and most of the moderate resorts have computers you can use. (There's a fee, but they will often left you use them for couple of minutes at no fee -- people do this to check in for flights, for example.)

You can contact them now by emailing them through their website. I am sure John will get back to you quickly. He will have a way for you to get hold of him when you arrive and decide if you need another locker or not. They are the best! I don't believe you get any better service anywhere.

I ordered one before the trip and loved it so much that I decided I needed a second box. I just called them up from my resort and they delivered another one the next day. They are great!

We have added a locker in the morning (we have 3 now! LOL) and John had it to the resort by noon - amazing service. They really do go out of their way - and I'm sure it won't be a problem getting a 2nd locker quickly.

Thanks for the helpful advice to Tiff. She did contact us and I think we're all set.

We operate pretty much on a zero notice for deliveries. As long as we hear from you by 6 pm, we'll have your Locker to you that day. We like to have a few hours' notice for new Lockers as it takes a little bit of time to get one assembled and have the bar code and nameplate attached. But we always carry a couple of "emergency Lockers" in the purple van for when we get those calls from the resort parking lot when stuff just won't fit into the car!

Tiff was afraid that the Locker wouldn't be big enough for her stuff. I told her that we often hear that they are a lot bigger than people think and will hold an amazing amount of stuff and that we suggest starting with one.

I agree. I would definitely start with just one and then see if you need a second later on. Even with just one, we have changed things around and added some items while deleting others. So far we are getting along fine with just one.

I just wanted to add my two cents about OL. As others have said, you will be very surprised at the amount of items you can get in the lockers. If, you still need more room there is the option of having more than one locker as well.
The way I see it, the greatest benefit of OL is the outstanding customer service. When was the last time you heard someone say they called their storage facility and they came right over and dropped off their items and picked them back up from XYZ!
Anyone can come up with a mobile storage facility, but certainly no one can give the fast, reliable, over the top customer service that Brian and John do.

Go ahead and get two....... I am going to have to add another one. If you have two crock pots I can only imagine how much other neat things you have to pack. The service is so wonderful!!!!!!!!

I think that it is time that "Owner's Lockers" got their own thread or board now...... so that people can post on there. It seems that there are always loads of questions about OL these days and also great replies. Maybe the powers that be will think that the OL now is deserving of it's own special place on Dis????

Tig-girl - GO FOR IT! We deliberated, decided, heard they were big, but promptly filled it will all the same kinds of stuff the others have said! Next time we go, and all future times, no ponchos, no jackets, only a small makeup and medicine case, fewer clothes, and more stuff that is "our" brands! Well worth it!
