Well my granddaughter looked over the menu and looked up images for our BOG dinner and she did not like any of the entrees. What she does see that she likes is the potato leek soup, pommes frites and the grey stuff. Can she order those or do they not let you order the pommes frites separate from an entree?

You can definitely order the soup and grey stuff seperately at least at lunch, I am not sure about the pommes frites, but I would guess so. Hopefully someone else will jump in who may have experience with that. Soup is delicious by the way!

Any item on the menu with a separate price point can be ordered without a problem. I know the soup and the Grey Stuff won't be a problem. I cannot remember if the pommes frites are also an item with a price point or not. If it is not a separate item, but is a side dish included in the description of an entree perhaps someone in your group can order the entree and share the pomme frites with her. Often side dishes in the description of the entree can be substituted for a side dish on another entree, but it depends on the restaurant and the side dish so you will have to ask. BOG has been more restrictive about substitutions than many of the Disney restaurants.

My tween prefers to order off the kids menu, and most restaurant are happy to oblige guests who are paying out of pocket. BOG has no problem serving kids meals to teens and adults--they just price the drink and dessert separately. One time, a waiter talked one of the adults in our party into ordering the kids salmon (she was planning to order the soup, but they were out, and she said she didn't want a big meal so late...waiter was a gifted salesman :thumbsup2) In our experience, both the kid's steak and seafood were excellent for the cost.

Also, fwiw, the 'pommes frites' are rather unimpressive french fries. Even our fry-loving kid left them on the plate.

We ordered them separately when we went a few years ago. I can't remember how we ordered them now because we pre-ordered, but we definitely did. My son and I shared a turkey sandwich and fries and my husband just got fries and a cupcake.

Oh ok I think your talking about lunch, we are having a problem with the dinner. I wish they did have the turkey sandwich for dinner that is her favorite.

Oh YES sorry - that was lunch. I've done the dinner too though. They are usually fairly willing to work with people, so hopefully they can find her something that she would like. I have the same problem with my husband ;)
