Question about OKW

Do they still operate the transportation boats from OKW to Disney Springs? It may sound crazy, but to me, that's a highlight of staying there.

Yes they do, but the DS dock may have changed and they don't stop at SSR any more.

Just back from a 12-night stay at OKW....yes, the boats still go from OKW (nonstop) to Disney Springs (they dock at The Landing (the new name for what used to be Pleasure Island)...boats start at 10 a.m. (don't recall how late they end the service...maybe 11 p.m.?)...all is noted as "weather permitting"...we had nothing but gloriously beautiful weather the entire time we were there, so not sure what kind of bad weather would stop the boats...certainly high wind thunder storms, but short of that? Don't know...it's a lovely boat ride (we did it a number of times)...almost an attraction in and of itself!

Thanks Bill! Do you mean that they run a separate boat to SSR or that now that there is a walkway from SSR, they no longer run ANY boats from SSR? Sorry for the confusion, but we haven't stayed at either location in a few years and we are looking at booking a quick post-cruise night or two at one of these two. Since we won't be hitting the parks, the boats to and from Disney Springs will be a major part of our decision.

SSR boats are still running, too; we didn't take one from SSR so not sure which Disney Springs docking location they use...but we saw boats docking (coming and going) at SSR. They are not the same boats as the ones that go to/from OKW, though. So you can't go direct from OKW to SSR by boat.

Yes, SSR has boats that leave from below the Pro Shop & Tennis Courts area. As an OKW member for many years, my family loves those boat rides to/from OKW as well! I do miss being able to rent a pontoon boat and drive it ourself (not to dock at DD though, just to tool around).

The SSR boats also stop at THV, that's why they are no longer shared with OKW.

Yes, they still travel to DS from OKW. It is a peaceful trip, I fell asleep in the back of the boat a couple weeks ago

Or Yu could take bus to Disney springs and then walk over to SSR.
